SISME S.p.A. is a company that has been designing and manufacturing electric motors since 1957. Located in Olgiate Comasco (Como), the group’s headquarters, Sisme currently employs 700 people in three production plants located in Italy, China and Slovakia. For our warehouse team we are looking for a: TRANSPORT SPECIALIST
The resource, placed within the Supply Chain team and reporting directly to the Logistic Manager, will be responsible for:

• manage the coordination of the negotiation and review of both inbound and outbound transport contracts for the group;
• Responsible for the assigned distribution network, supporting the business to meet customer expectations and achieve optimal results;
• Driving the optimisation and reduction of transport costs in line with productivity and customer service objectives;
• It operates and organises in order to ensure, in cooperation with its manager and the contact persons of the other departments, the achievement of the company’s daily and business objectives; it supports the execution of order processing and goods loading processes during the day;
• It coordinates the transports carried out by the group’s suppliers or those of its customers;
• Select suitable suppliers and forwarders from the company’s supplier list;

It is required:

• Experience in logistics, warehousing and transport;
• 3-4 years of experience in international logistics contexts of manufacturing companies;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Result orientation, propensity for change and innovation;
• Aptitude for negotiation;
• Dynamism and proactivity;
• Organisational and problem solving skills;
• Team working and excellent communication skills;
• Good knowledge of the English language;
• Ability to use Sap and the office package (especially excell);
• Fluent English;
