Located in Olgiate Comasco (Como), the main headquarters of the group, Sisme currently has 700 employees divided between three different production facilities: Italiy, China and Slovakia.

Since 1957, the year of its foundation, Sisme has distinguished itself on the market as a strategic partner of several leading multinational companies in various sectors. Industrial and domestic ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning, and household appliances are the main sectors in which Sisme is present.

1957: The beginning

SISME is founded in Olgiate Comasco (Como) on the initiative of the US multinational Ranco.

1975: Leadership

SISME takes on a role of absolute leadership in the field of electric motors for domestic appliances, industrial and civil ventilation and rotostators for compressors.

1980s: Automation

Maximum technological expression in manufacturing motors appears at SISME with the advent of the first numerically controlled machines.

1990s: Growth

Over the course of 40 years of business, production reaches over 15,000 motors per day.

2000: Expansion

Following the strong market growth trend, plants are opened in China and Slovakia.

2015: Improvement

With company policies strongly oriented towards reducing waste, Sisme has begun continuous improvement processes.

Sisme ItalY
The Olgiate Comasco plant is the company’s historic headquarters. Since 1957 it has been the beating heart of all company activity, and over the years it has become a local point of reference concerning the use and development of the region. In Olgiate Comasco, the Research & Development, Administration, Purchasing, IT, Sales and Quality divisions are harmonised, and part of Production is allocated there. To be specific, the products manufactured at Sisme’s Italian headquarters cover the EMEA markets and part of the US market. In this production division, all motors for the water and air handling sectors and some of the rotostators for the HVAC sector are produced with meticulous care.
